Welcome to our September Newsletter. After a rather wet and dreary summer we’re looking forward to getting back out to the mountains—deep snow, blue skies, great skiing and some sun!

The Portes du Soleil is a fabulous ski area, masses of skiing, traditional Alpine villages and close to Geneva Airport. We are very excited with the latest addition to our chalet programme in Morzine which came along after we had sent our brochure to the press! Chalet Eira in Morzine is back in our programme after a 2 year absence.

Eira is a stunning chalet situated just a few yards away from Chalet Chantelle — a past favourite with Alpine Tracks guests, Chalet Eira has 19 en-suite bedrooms sleeping upto 54 guests. There is a separate bar, lounge area, dining room—all with glorious views over Morzine and Le Pleney, childrens play rooms, hot tubs as well as in chalet ski hire.

Our main transfer day is now Sunday— the airports are much quieter, flight prices lower and more importantly you spend less time on the transfer coach and more time out on the snow!

Geilo in Norway offers families and guests learning to ski a unique skiing experience, extremely snowsure, wonderful wide open quiet ski slopes, no queues and hosts that understand and speak perfect English. We have added ski in ski out chalets, large spacious apartments as well as the luxurious Dr Holms hotel to our already established programme.

Chalet Eira

Chalet Eira is situated in the centre of Morzine, 300m from the nearest lift on Le Pleney and you can ski back through Nyon and along the cross country track to within 75m of the chalet. A ski bus stops right outside and the chalet has 3 minibuses that operate a ski shuttle service in the mornings and evenings. There are 19 ensuite bedrooms—a mix of doubles, twins, family rooms and family suites, on the ground floor is a wellness area with a large hot tub, the dining room is on the third floor—off which we have created a childrens playroom. The lounge and bar on the top floor have glorious views over Morzine and the Pleney ski area. There is an area with a pool table and another childrens play area.

We offer a large hot and cold buffet style breakfast, mouth watering cakes to replace those calories lost during the day up on the mountain(!) and a 4 course evening
meal with wine. Children can eat early, crèche and baby sitting services are also available.

Short breaks to Chalet Eira are possible—the only stipulation is that you depart the chalet on a Sunday.
